Job Opening: Character Designers
Location: Remote, UK only
Type: Fixed-term contract
Responsibilities:
- Complete all rough, revised and final designs necessary within assigned deadlines.
- Resolve design problems with creative supervisors.
- Communicate progress of work to appropriate production staff.
- Ensure all artwork is properly backed up and stored appropriately.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to closely follow established design rules, using minimum necessary detail to create a variety of new characters, through simple geometric shapes, strong silhouettes and contrasting colours.
- Ability to convey a characters’ personality through design attributes, facial expressions and physical poses.
- Differentiate characters by contrasting form, colour, scale, and weighting.
- High level of technical drawing skills to create clean and precise artwork.
- Creativity and innovation.
- Experience using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
- Experience of using FTrack is desirable but not essential.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Series experience is essential for senior roles.
- Experience in a similar role for those applying to senior and lead roles.
- Understanding of the 2D animation pipeline.
