Job Opening: Comper Lead

Experience level:
- 3-5 years of related production experience with proven compositing leadership experience for feature film VFX
- 1-2 years of related leadership experience

Responsibilities:
- Be an integral part of the Compositing team. Working closely with Compositing Supervisors, VFX Supervisors, Producers, and Coordinators.
- Be responsible for the aesthetic integrity and technical quality of the final image delivered to the client.
- Be the key figure in executing and managing the creative output, both as a team leader and a team player.
- Drive sometimes highly complex projects from the initial pitching stage through to shoot supervision, production and delivery.
- Be responsible for managing the creative output, client sessions, the timeline, conforms and edit of such projects, delegating where appropriate.
- Be responsible for managing and supervising a team of artists on a project both locally and sometimes collaborating with other studios within the group.
- Work closely with scheduling to make sure artists are well-integrated into jobs.
- Work with the Compositing Supervisor and Visual Effects Supervisor to evaluate the creative and technical approach for assigned shots
- Work collaboratively with artists from other disciplines.
- An expectation of this role is to not only nurture and deepen existing relationships with directors, production companies and agencies, but also to strive to create new connections with clients.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3-5 years of related production experience with proven compositing leadership experience for feature film VFX.
- 1-2 years of related leadership experience.
- Extensive experience with VFX, photoreal compositing, tracking, grading, roto, prep, cleanup, standards, technical and software expertise, image formats, film and photographic principles.
- High-level expertise with Nuke and full VFX pipeline.
- Ability to perform Blue Screen and Green Screen Extractions to the highest level of quality.
- Experience in setting up and utilizing projections (2.5D) within a 3D environment.
- Thorough experience in working with multipass CG Renders, and implementing proper Z-Depth.
- Ability to implement fast, effective solutions to shot production challenges.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and responsibilities concurrently.
- Calm and effective communication and leadership skills at all time.
