Job Opening: Senior System Administrator
Location: Barcelona, Spain

Experience level:

Responsibilities:
- Serve as first point of contact for staff seeking technical assistance.
- Edit and create Python scripts in the Shotgrid/Deadline environment.
- Check and set up computers and necessary peripheral devices.
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
- Install, configure and monitor all relevant IT-components within the company.
- Identify equipment shortages and report.
- Create, maintain and publish relevant documentation of the internal knowledge base.
- Manage system monitoring tools and backups.
- Perform Troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problem
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in VFX production studio environment.
- Experience with Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10 / Server 2019).
- Experience with Mac os operating systems.
- Experience with Linux operating systems.
- Scripting Python, Bash, Powershell.
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft-based technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP WSUS, Group Policy Objects.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies is an advantage (VMware / Proxmox).
- Knowledge of backup and recovery technologies (Veeam, Backup Exec).
- Strong understanding of networking, routing, switching, firewalls.
- Knowledge of Databases (Postgres, SQL).
- Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical skills and a good problem solving ability.
- Flexibility and reliability combined with high quality standards.
