KERO Animation is expanding its core creative lineup and launching immediate recruitment for Traditional 2D Animators to join the production team for the upcoming project, “Patrick Foxy Episode 2.” This position is a paid, fully remote freelance engagement designed specifically for hand-drawn animation specialists who excel at crafting expressive, frame-by-frame character performances. Selected freelance artists will take charge of manipulating original character assets, translating storyboard layouts into high-quality roughs and cleaned-up sequential tie-downs. The production floor values strong cinematic choices and fluid physics, providing an environment where traditional craftsmanship meets collaborative digital workflows.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
The 2D animation specialist will drive character performances and rough keyframe layouts across the episodic timeline:
- Frame-by-Frame Animation: Generate high-quality, fluid traditional 2D animation sequences featuring original character designs, focusing heavily on acting continuity and solid volume metrics.
- Visual Staging: Apply a sharp technical eye for composition, underlying draft design, and narrative framing to ensure every scene enhances the overarching story arc.
- Pipeline Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with creative directors and story artists to refine character behaviors, pacing choices, and shot interactions based on supervisor reviews.
Required Software Knowledge & Skills
Candidates applying for this remote freelance position must demonstrate the following artistic and workflow competencies:
- Traditional Proficiency: A robust, active portfolio or showreel displaying strong foundational expertise in traditional hand-drawn 2D animation techniques.
