Astral Project is expanding its post-production capabilities and launching immediate recruitment for a talented Video Editor. This position is a project-driven freelance and contract opportunity designed specifically for remote editors who know how to construct engaging, high-quality content blocks. Selected editors will work closely with creative producers to shape engaging narratives, maintain high aesthetic quality, and deliver sequential assets under strict delivery parameters. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
The chosen video specialist will manage post-production deliverables across multiple active media lines:
- Content Assembly: Splice and edit video tracks to deliver highly engaging, polished, and technically sound assets that align with core project goals.
- Pacing & Staging: Apply a keen sense of narrative flow, clip timing, and visual aesthetics to keep audiences engaged across diverse storytelling formats.
- Deadline Management: Keep file transfers moving efficiently, track revisions accurately, and maintain consistent milestones throughout the contract timeline.
Required Software Knowledge & Skills
Applicants must demonstrate operational proficiency in standard post-production tools and layouts:
- Core Editing Suites: Direct production experience working within standard nonlinear editing systems like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve (or highly similar 3D/video software).
- Motion Graphics Bonus: Practical experience developing basic motion graphic assets or dynamic titles will be considered a distinct advantage.
- Communication Instincts: Ability to work self-sufficiently within remote parameters while maintaining clean, proactive team updates mid-production.
