Job Opening: Storyboard & Animatics Artist

Chakrra LLC is seeking a highly creative, cinematic, and detail-oriented Storyboard & Animatics Artist to join our production team. This role is critical in transforming scripts, treatments, and director notes into compelling visual sequences. We are looking for an artist who understands film grammar—camera logic, composition, and character acting—and can elevate written material into dynamic, production-ready boards and animatics.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate scripts, treatments, and creative briefs into professional storyboard sequences.
- Design shot staging, camera angles, lens logic, screen direction, and continuity.
- Visualize emotion, pacing, and action through strong sequential storytelling.
- Create animatics with temporary timing, camera movement, transitions, and sound references.
- Collaborate with directors, editors, and production teams, providing visual solutions for staging and narrative clarity.
- Maintain high organizational standards for file naming, version control, and scene geography.
Core Skills (The Star Candidate)
- Cinematic Language: Expert understanding of framing, composition, perspective, and visual pacing.
- Visual Communication: Ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, dynamic visuals quickly.
- Technical Mastery: Proficiency in Toon Boom Storyboard Pro (preferred) and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Professionalism: Deadline-driven, comfortable with iterative feedback, and able to work with minimum supervision.
“Superstar” Advantages
- 4–5+ years of experience in animation, film, or advertising.
- Experience working directly with Directors or Showrunners.
- Familiarity with layout, previs, and shot planning pipelines.
- Experience boarding dialogue-heavy scenes, action sequences, or comedy.
