Structured as a 3-month paid internship with a direct pathway to a full-time, on-roll staff position based on performance evaluation, this program is tailor-made for energetic freshers looking to build a career in the VFX industry. Selected interns will work directly with department leads on live project tasks, gaining hands-on production experience in plate prep, alpha creation, 3D tracking, and shot compositing. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
The VFX artist intern will receive hands-on training and execute tasks across several core post-production modules:
- Rotoscoping & Paint/Prep: Generate clean alpha mattes and execute rig/wire removals, clean plate generations, and element reconstructions.
- Tracking & Matchmove: Solve camera trajectories and track point data to seamlessly integrate 2D and 3D assets onto live-action plates.
- Compositing Integration: Combine multi-layer passes, live-action elements, and graphics into unified final frames while maintaining visual consistency.
Required Software Knowledge & Skills
Applicants should possess foundational knowledge across these industry-standard software toolsets:
- Core VFX Suites: Operational familiarity with Silhouette, Nuke, Fusion, and Adobe Photoshop.
- 3D & Tracking Tools: Basic understanding of 3D and matchmove workflows using Autodesk Maya and 3DEqualizer.
