Job Opening: VFX Artist
Location: Remote
Type: Full-Time or Contract
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualise, design, and create cutting-edge special effects, including particle effects, dynamic simulations and shader effects
- Creating effects within memory and performance guidelines
- Close cooperation with animators, designers and other crafts to balance visual excellence and gameplay clarity
- Assisting in setting up or maintaining a library of effects presets which can be loaded and applied across an entire game
- Lighting and rendering FX elements and producing composites to showcase ideas and concepts
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in the role
- Portfolio/showreel showcasing top-notch examples of your skills
- Experience with Unity and its built-in particle systems
- Proficiency in animation and video production techniques like scaling, timing, staging, and lighting
- Familiarity with VFX creation software (Maya / Maxon Cinema 4D / Adobe After Effects / Houdini / etc.)
- Proficiency with 3D graphics, physics, ribbons, shaders and post process effects
- Experience working on action-adventure or similar games
- Familiar with Unity and repository softwares (Github/Plastic/SVN)
- Experience creating materials using HLSL and PBR rendering technologies
- Basic knowledge of programming (C#) is a plus
