Roto Artist Jobs at Livereel Visual Factory

Studio Name: Livereel Visual Factory

Job opening: Roto Artist

Job Location: Madhapur, Hyderabad, Telangana, India (On-site / WFO)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Core Focus: High-end rotoscoping, precise matte extraction, edge-fidelity management, and tracking integration for international films and episodic content

Key Requirements: 3 to 9 years of studio production experience, advanced technical knowledge of Silhouette and Mocha software, and a proven track record on feature films or OTT project pipelines

Livereel Visual Factory is scaling up its core paint and prep department in Hyderabad and launching immediate recruitment for experienced Roto Artists. This position is structured as an on-site, Work-From-Office (WFO) track based at the studio’s facility in Madhapur. Tailored for artists holding between three to nine years of practical visual effects experience, this intake cycle provides a stable platform to deploy your skills on high-profile international projects within a professional, growth-oriented studio environment.

Selected rotoscoping professionals will step onto a fast-paced production floor, delivering clean shape keys, consistent edge details, and robust tracking profiles for major studio properties. The studio pipeline prioritizes exceptional precision, fine motor craftsmanship, and efficient workflow habits, making it an ideal long-term track for mid-to-senior artists dedicated to premium frame execution.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

The rotoscoping specialist will drive accurate asset isolation and matte generation across complex image tracks:

  • Matte Extraction: Build articulate spline shapes to isolate characters, practical props, and complex set elements across multi-frame live-action plates.
  • Motion Tracking: Implement accurate point, planar, or mesh tracking data layers to stabilize complex motion profiles and ensure steady shape continuity.
  • Edge Fidelity Control: Handle challenging motion blur, fine hair tracks, defouled lens artifacts, and shifting defocus parameters to ensure seamless downstream compositing.

Required Software Knowledge & Skills

Candidates applying for this Hyderabad-based post must meet the following baseline technical criteria:

  • Core Toolkit Literacy: Strong, deep production command over node-based rotoscoping and shapes within Silhouette, alongside planar tracking expertise inside Mocha.
  • Format Experience: Prior workflow experience delivering high-volume plate assets for premium Feature Film networks or major OTT streaming platforms is highly preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: An absolute commitment to pixel-perfect cleanliness, clean script arrangement, and an understanding of motion mechanics.
