Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Selected senior artists will handle intricate digital asset preparation and plate restoration workflows under the supervision of the VFX supervisor:
- Advanced Digital Paint & Prep: Execute highly complex rotoscoping, rig removal, marker removal, and clean plate creation across demanding live-action sequences.
- Texture and Grain Matching: Reconstruct missing background details, reconstruct obscured plates, and maintain precise digital film grain consistency.
- Pipeline Collaboration: Work closely with the compositing team and rotoscoping technical directors to ensure seamless asset handoffs and efficient data flow.
- Quality Control & Supervision: Maintain a strict standard of optical realism, ensuring all elements meet final theatrical delivery specifications.
Required Software Knowledge & Skills
Candidates applying for this mid-senior post-production role must demonstrate complete mastery over industry-standard digital paint environments:
- Core Compositing Toolset: Advanced practical experience using industry standard tools.
- Tracking and Projection Foundations: Comprehensive, non-theoretical mastery of planar tracking tools such as Mocha Pro, patch projections, and 3D camera tracking spaces.
- Production Discipline: Proven ability to manage tight studio timeline structures, prioritize complex asset tracking, and thrive in an on-site collaborative studio workspace.
