Job Description:

  • We are seeking a talented animator to join our team on a freelance basis.
  • Help us produce our science communication animations.
  • Ideally, you will be a Generalist and can create several different types of animation (i.e. both 2D and 3D animation).
  • You will be taking instruction and direction from our animation team to create 2D and 3D animations that are consistent with our brand and animation style.
  • We will provide you with direct access to a bank of assets as a basis for you to work from.
  • We have our own brand identity which you must follow closely.
  • We will provide you with some guidelines for you to reference when creating these animations.

Qualification & Skills:

  • Speak fluent English (both spoken and written)
  • Good communication skills to enable you to work take direction from our animators and project managers
  • 3 years’ + of 3D and 2D animation experience
  • Medical or Scientific animation experience
  • Degree in animation or a relevant area
  • Proficiency in one of the following software: 3D Max, C4D, MAYA, Lightwave, or Blender
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, (knowledge of DUIK plugin for character animation essential), Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Be able to work to strict deadlines
  • Have a positive attitude to client feedback

Note:

  • Please try to show non-character 3D samples (more science-based if possible like cells etc).
