Job Opening: Grooming Artist
Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Create stylized or natural hair, fur, feathers, etc., for human characters, creatures, and animals.
- Meet production deadlines and communicate effectively with production management.
- Collaborate closely with CFX, Modeling, and Surfacing artists.
- Participate in reviews and offer insights for art and workflow improvement.
- Bring creative ideas to achieve look development directed by the Art Department.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficiency in creating short/long hair for humans, animal fur, or creature details.
- Look at development and shader creation for hair and fur.
- Strong teamwork with various departments, including Modeling, Rigging, and Surfacing.
- Motivated, proactive, and open to communication and feedback.
- Consistently deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
- Creativity, an eye for design elements, and adaptability to different visual styles.
- Full Proficiency in 3D software for hair and fur creation.
- Knowledge of modeling, shading, and CFX (bonus).
- Experience with Houdini (a plus).
- Educational background in computer graphics (degree preferred but not mandatory).
- Ability to work both independently and in a team, with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with Substance Painter/Designer (desired).
- Knowledge of Blender (an asset).
