Job Opening: Concept Artist – Internship
Location: Lisbon, Portugal
Type: Internship
Responsibilities:
- We are looking for students and non-students with a passion for games and concept art who wish to apply the knowledge and skills acquired in an educational setting to real-world scenarios.
- Funcom offers hands-on experience in a professional and creative environment, allowing interns to learn how to navigate the workplace, collaborate with colleagues, and develop industry-specific skills during a 3-month onsite internship.
- Their job would be working within creative briefs to create robust designs aligned with the project art direction. They would also be asked to provide environmentally-mood concepts & paint-overs.
- No prior experience is required, but demonstrable skill is a must. You should provide a portfolio showcasing your latest works and demonstrating a passion for growing and learning within the industry!
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience with Photoshop
- Experience with Blender
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine
- Enjoys playing survival genre games
- Basic 2d art skills
- Basic knowledge of 3d modeling
- A good knowledge of perspective.
- An interest in architecture and functional design
- An understanding of materials, lighting & rendering.
- Interest in realistic game styles & aesthetics.
- A strong desire to learn and is open to feedback and mentoring.
