Job Opening: Environment Artist
Location: Birmingham, England, UK
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Creating, LODing, and importing models into the Unity engine, setting up prefabs
- Build (set dress, edit, optimise) realistic detailed 3d environments from photo references and concepts
- Working with programmers to implement new gameplay features in-game
- Acting on feedback from the team to resolve any issues
- Collaborate with artists in the team to ensure project goals are met
Qualifications & Skills:
- Eligible to work and located in the UK
- Experience working as an environment artist in games with at least 2x shipped titles
- Knowledge of 3DS MAX
- Advanced understanding of Zbrush
- Advanced understanding of in Substance Painter, Substance Designer expertise
- Marmoset toolbag experience
- Knowledge of Unity, Unity scene and prefab management
- Excellent understanding of PBR
- Knowledge and understanding of architecture and building construction and how to translate it into game environments.
- Collaboration with other disciplines to make sure your art shows/works as desired in-game.
- Great time-management skills and self-motivation.
Desirables:
- Local to UK Birmingham or the surrounding area or have strong transport links to Birmingham to work hybrid at our HQ.
- You are able to do props on occasion and do it well
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
- Some photogrammetry experience
- Experience with other game engines (Unreal/Source, etc)
- Fan of Rust/survival games
