The award-winning DNEG VFX India team is expanding its core finishing team and launching an immediate Walk-in Recruitment Drive for Mid to Senior Compositing Artists. This recruitment initiative is taking place simultaneously across their Mumbai and Hyderabad studio hubs on 25th & 26th July (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM). If you are an experienced compositing artist who obsesses over pixel-level detail and thrives in high-end feature film pipelines, this walk-in drive offers an elite venue to showcase your showreel and secure a position.
Selected mid to senior artists will step directly into high-impact sequence finaling loops, collaborating with world-class supervisors and multi-department teams. The studio environment values optical accuracy, seamless CG integration, and creative problem-solving across blockbuster global productions.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Mid to Senior Compositors will manage shot finaling and node script architectures across complex visual sequences:
- Shot Finaling & CG Integration: Combine multi-pass CG renders, live-action plates, matte paintings, and FX passes into photorealistic final comps while matching optical camera characteristics.
- Script Optimization: Build clean, structured Nuke scripts for complex shots, establishing efficient layout workflows for the wider compositing sequence.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Partner with Lighting, FX, and Paint/Roto leads to resolve integration challenges, refine edge details, and implement supervisor notes rapidly.
Required Software Knowledge & Skills
Candidates attending the walk-in drive must satisfy the following technical and operational criteria:
- Core Toolset Mastery: Advanced operational mastery in Compositing (including Deep Compositing, projections, and keying suites).
- Experience & Availability: Proven mid-to-senior experience in feature film or premium episodic visual effects, paired with immediate availability to join the studio floor.
- Artistic Precision: An exceptional eye for photo-realism, light response, color space matching, grain structure, and subtle composition detail.
