Job Opening: Unreal Engine (UE) Generalists

Location: Vancouver, Canada

Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Create shaders, material effects, and Niagara systems that leverage what Unreal does best
  • Research and develop workarounds for creative and technical challenges in Unreal
  • Work with and create blueprints
  • Ensure that the successful flow of assets and data is maintained throughout all pipeline steps
  • Provide and implement technical training sessions and documentation for team members
  • Ensure that best practices are being followed and maintained

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 1+ years’ experience in Unreal Engine as generalist role, working with UE4 and above within Games, Animation, and VFX.  Experience in UE5.3 is preferred.
  • Production experience creating or modifying Shaders, tools, FX, Particle Systems, and/or other various assets in engine
  • Experience with UE Blueprint system
  • Experience with UE Sequencer and related tools within the engine
  • Excellent abilities to troubleshoot problems and think creatively to resolve technical issues
  • Ability to work alone and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure

Nice to Have: 

  • Experience with Maya
  • Experience with FBX and ABC

Note: Applicants will be required to be located within BC for the contract.  Relocation and permit support is available where possible.
