Responsibilities:

  • Will have the opportunity to work on artistic projects.
  • Depending on the needs of the production, will have an opportunity to learn and create: Black/white & color design, Simple background layouts, and/or Storyboard revisionist work.
  • Will learn how to work within a professional design pipeline.
  • May create artwork as assigned, adhering to stylistic and technical specifications.  Creates revisions based on creative feedback.
  • May clean and prep storyboards for final lock and shipping.
  • Assist Art Director / Storyboard Director with gathering and distributing reference and kickoff materials.
  • Clean up and prep art files.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Some previous work experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the animation industry is helpful.
  • Must have an art portfolio/samples for consideration. Please submit your portfolio as a link within your resume/cover letter or as one PDF document along with your resume and cover letter.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop is required.
  • Proficiency with ToonBoom Storyboard Pro preferred.
  • Knowledge of MAC, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
  • Artistic ability is required.
  • Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person, and on the telephone.
  • Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
  • Must have the ability to work well under time constraints.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information.
  • Must be actively enrolled in a U.S.-accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student (18 years or older)
  • Must be in academic good standing (2.8 or above GPA)
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States. U.S. International students must hold an F1 Visa to be considered.
