Job Opening: Game Artist
Location: Barcelona, Spain
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Final assets that plug directly into Unity—implemented, not just designed
- Hypotheses and ideas that start from a player’s perspective and a monetization lens, not just visual taste
- Proposals grounded in game direction, not generic moodboards
- Constant small improvements in live games: self-created Asana tasks, tagged team
- UI/UX designs challenged, improved, and implemented by you.
Qualifications & Skills:
- You don’t need to be explained what makes a great mobile game; 5+ years in mobile f2p, midcore preferred.
- You don’t need an Art Director to nurture you: deliver assets that ship with zero or minimal rework.
- You don’t need a developer to integrate your assets; 3+ years Unity experience, asset implementation & UI assembly.
- You don’t need to be asked to use AI tools, because you already know them better than most (Uses AI tools across 2D, 3D, and video workflows).
- You don’t need an introduction to collaborative software (high proficiency in Figma).
- You don’t need to know what extra skills to get to be a killer Artist; you’re interested in animation and willing to grow in it.
- You are easy to understand, and you are a clear communicator in English (B2+).
- You get what sells, and you are product-minded, proposing ideas grounded in game needs.
- You are proactive by default.
- You have felt game-making pain firsthand, and you worked directly with a publisher or in a startup-like setting.
- Animation or VFX implementation.
- C# fluency for Unity.
- Has shipped multiple genres or styles.
