Job Opening: VFX Supervisor
Location: New York State
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Attend production and VFX meetings, location, and tech scouts
- Break down scripts and work with Producers and Department Supervisors in bidding
- Provide on-set supervision of backplate and element photography
- Lead a team of artists and provide guidance and feedback on shots
- Assist in recruitment duties, reviewing reels, making recommendations
- Communicate effectively with clients, artists, and management while guiding a shot from initial concept through final delivery
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a VFX Supervisor
- Experience leading a team of compositors in an episodic TV environment
- On-set supervision, script breakdown, and bidding experience
- Working knowledge of Nuke composting workflow
- Working knowledge of CG workflow
- Strong understanding of directory structure, file formats, naming conventions, scripts, automation tools, automated dailies
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Strong creative and technical abilities
- Must be a team player and work well under tight deadlines
