Job Opening: VFX Production Coordinator
Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Prioritizing and tracking internal assignments and project details
- Organise dailies, rounds and meetings
- Record and distribute all project notes whether from clients, dailies or rounds
- Coordinate and create playlists for dailies / client review sessions
- Ensure ShotGrid statuses and tasks are tracked and up to date
- Ensure schedules and studio docs are up to date (Google Docs)
- Ingest and publish outsource vendor submissions.
- Handle all outgoing file transfers to clients and outsource vendors, including the preparation of renderings and documentation.
- Perform basic quality control on incoming/outgoing files.
- Ensure data is organised and trackable on the network.
- Ensure crew are clear on project scope through weekly and daily delivery objectives
- Ensuring work is being approved and completed on time and to specification
- Administrate daily studio tasks – timesheet completion, stationery and grocery purchases, and meal orders when required
Qualifications & Skills:
- Highly organized with excellent scheduling and task management skills
- Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to problem solve effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum 1 year of experience within the VFX or film production industry
- Conversant with visual effects terminologies and processes
- Ability to liaise and collaborate with clients, artists and producers
- Understanding visual effects processes including Assets, Layout, Matte Painting, Animation, FX, Lighting, and Compositing is considered an asset
- Working experience with ShotGrid is considered an asset but not essential
- Strong knowledge of MS Office package and/or Google Docs
- The role reports to VFX Supervisor and VFX Producer
