Job Opening: VFX Producer

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall project schedule and delivery milestones.
- Delivery strategy and bid methodology in partnership with the supervision team.
- Project planning and resourcing working closely with the Head of Disciples and Crewing.
- Produce and manage budgets and schedules that take into account the VFX work required. Internal and external communication via internal reports and production breakdowns; from script to turnover and scope changes through the life of a project.
- Monitoring of budget and spend throughout a project.
- Internal and external project status and finance reports; verbal and written.
- Manage, lead and mentor the project production team.
- Establishing and monitoring production roles and responsibilities.
- Maintaining clear lines of communication between production and the supervision team.
- In collaboration with the production team is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the production database.
- Liaise with key support departments e.g. finance, systems, pipeline and facilities.
- Artist performance, productivity, attendance and timekeeping with the project production and supervision team.
- Builds and maintains a positive and collaborative working relationship with our clients to ensure their creative vision is met.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous production experience as a Senior VFX Producer on high-end creative content.
- Experienced in budgeting, scheduling, executing, and delivering VFX projects.
- Proven ability to manage high-revenue budgets.
- Excellent client and crew management skills.
- An excellent understanding of the VFX production process from concept to completion.
- Excellent familiarity with post-production pipelines, techniques, software, and new technology.
- On-set experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with VFX breakdowns, and bidding templates/software.
- Financial knowledge and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated success engaging in problem-solving techniques
- First-class time/project management skills.
- Able to analyze quickly and provide solutions accordingly.
- Clear communicator who can provide succinct and accurate information.
- Strong communication skills: written and verbal.
- Calm and personable under pressure.
- The ability to work within a team towards a common goal.
- English – Spoken and Written
- French – Spoken (an asset)
