Job Opening: VFX/CG Editor
Location: Goregaon, Mumbai, India
Type: Full-Time
We require a skilled VFX/CG editor to join our studio. The ideal candidate is responsible for editing, assembling, and finalizing VFX and CG sequences in accordance with the creative vision. He/she should possess advanced technical skills in industry-standard software, strong attention to detail, and an overarching sense of narrative in visual effects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and Assemble: Combine VFX and CG shots into the overall edit of the film, LBE, Commercials, etc.
- Collaborate: Work with VFX/ CG Supervisors and producers to integrate visual effects seamlessly and compellingly with live-action footage.
- Review: Review VFX shots, providing feedback along the way, for both aesthetic and technical accuracy.
- Asset Management: Organize, track, and manage VFX and CG files efficiently for post-production workflows.
- Maintain Continuity: Effect CG-live action continuity as regards coloring, pacing, and timings.
- Compositing: Blend the CG elements with live-action footage through the compositing software.
- Synchronization of Dialogue: Synch sound effects and dialogue to the picture of the CG and VFX sequences when required.

Softwares:
- Video editing: Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro X
- Compositing: Adobe After Effects, Nuke, Blackmagic Fusion
- 3D/VFX: Autodesk Maya, Houdini (SideFX), Cinema 4D
- 3D Rendering: Redshift, Arnold, Vray experience is a plus
- Version Control & Project Management Tools: ShotGrid, FTrack, RV (for playback and reviews)
Technical Skills:
- Good knowledge of VFX pipelines and workflow.
- Experience in working with green screen, chroma keying, and rotoscoping.
- Sound knowledge of a range of file formats, codecs, and frame rates.
- Experience in coloring and balancing CG shots with live footage.
- Familiarity with motion tracking and stable tools.
Soft Skills:
- Good communication skills are necessary to work with various functions.
- Strong problem-solving skill, attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize work meeting deadlines and changing demands.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Animation, Visual Effects, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a VFX/CG editing role within a professional studio environment.
- Portfolio: Reel demonstrating a variety of editing, VFX integration, and compositing work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Animation, Visual Effects, or a related field.
