Job Opening: UI Designer
Location: Quebec, Quebec
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Illustrate, color and design interface elements for video games;
- Perform visual searches;
- Make the sketches, conceptualize and realize the interfaces;
- Animate some interface elements;
- Participate in defining the visual style of a game;
- Develop navigation diagrams ( flowcharts );
- Make the assembly and the initial integration of its designs inside game engines such as Unity or Unreal;
- Oversee the design of interactions and the development of complex systems such as an inventory or a character creation process;
- Document or explain how these processes work to the production team or customer.
Qualifications & Skills:
- College education in graphic design, visual arts, multimedia, or any other relevant discipline;
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in designing interfaces for video or web games;
- Knowledge of Unity and/or Unreal game engines;
- Knowledge of creative software (Photoshop, Illustrator);
- Knowledge of user/machine behavior (ergonomics);
- Knowledge of the technical constraints of video game production and the different stages of their creation;
- Experience working on a published project or improving an existing one will be considered an asset;
- Good knowledge of the video game industry;
- Bilingual (French/English);
