Job Opening: Tracking/Matchmove Artist
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Produce tracked cameras / virtual sets from plate photography
- Matchmove characters and objects using provided rigs
- Lead a team of Tracking and Matchmove artists to deliver high quality work
- Work with animation and modeling departments to ensure accurate camera track
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Tracking / Matchmove Artist with at least one year as a Lead
- Mastered the core 3D principles rotation, translation, scale, gimbal lock
- A thorough understanding of 3D camera principles such as lenses, distortion, parallax etc
- Proficiency in Maya and in one or more camera tracking packages (Syntheyes, 3D Equalizer, PFTrack etc)
- An inherent ability to lead a team and strong communication skills
- A team player mentality with a good getter attitude
