Job Opening: Pipeline Technical Director
Location: Vancouver, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Work with artists on troubleshooting and resolving production issues
- Identify and resolve bugs in existing tools
- Develop tools to speed up artists’ workflow
- Suggest opportunities for toolset improvements with artists and development leads
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of our tools
- Work closely with the rest of the development team to support the implementation of new core pipeline tools.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
- In-depth knowledge of the VFX production pipeline
- In-depth understanding of VFX and Feature animation tools, techniques, technologies and efficiencies
- In-depth knowledge of Python
- Experience with common VFX APIs (Maya, Nuke, Houdini, USD, etc)
- Knowledge of databases and web technologies
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new things are essential
