Job Opening: Environment Artist
Location: Remote
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Create the visual style, design, and overall look of the game.
- Develop models, textures, and set dressing environments for games.
- Integrate textures and models of environments and props into the game engine.
- Work with the Art Director and concept artists to produce high-quality 3d models.
- Collaborate with designers and animators to develop run-time game 3D Data procedures & pipelines.
- Maintain quality, efficiency, and consistency across your work.
- Evangelize, present, and communicate the art status of owned projects to the larger Tequila Works organization and the Management Team.
- Work in a cross-discipline team to execute the best possible results.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Art-related degree.
- 5+ years’ experience as a professional artist in video games.
- Exceptional visual and technical understanding in sculpting, 3D modeling & texturing (both high- & low-resolution game assets).
- Demonstrated experience working with modern art pipelines.
- Proficient with 3DSMax, Maya, or Blender.
- Zbrush proficiency.
- Good understanding of Unreal Engine 5.
- Understand and respect the performance limitations of a real-time environment.
- Have a flexible, innovative, and open-minded approach to problem-solving.
- Self-critical spirit and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with SpeedTree software is a plus.
