
Job Opening: Technical Artist (Unreal Engine)
Locations: Pune, India (On-Site Only)
Type: Full-time
Project: Real-Time ArchViz (Interior + Exterior)
Experience Required: Experienced (Implied 3+ years)
What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):
- Clean, and optimize architectural scenes from Revit/Max/SketchUp/Blender.
- Reduce heavy mesh complexity, remove unused geometry, and set up LOD workflows.
- Create and optimize materials & master material systems.
- Manage texture compression, resolution budgets, and memory usage.
- Choose and configure efficient lighting workflows (Lumen or Lightmass).
- Optimize reflections, lightmaps, Nanite usage, draw calls, and shader complexity.
- Profile performance using Stat GPU, Stat Unit, Unreal Insights, and fix frame-rate bottlenecks.
- Prepare smooth, stable packaged builds for PC / VR walkthroughs.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Unreal Engine 5 (Materials, Lighting, Rendering).
- Experience in scene optimization for real-time performance.
- Understanding of Nanite / Lumen workflows, light baking, and draw call reduction.
- Ability to convert CAD / BIM / FBX into optimized, game-ready scenes.
- Experience delivering VR or real-time walkthrough projects is a big plus.
Portfolio Expectations:
- Real-time architecture environments.
- Before/after optimization examples (if available).
- Any packaged build or demo video.
