Job Opening: Technical Artist
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Put together scenes and environments to achieve the creative vision of the game
- Create great looking visual effects for the game
- Explore ideas and do research to find best optimized solutions for achieving various visuals for the gameplay objectives
- Develop small tools and scripts to help automate various repetitive tasks
- Follow project standards and workflows to enforce consistently clean, professional, and maintainable work
- Work with team members in a collaborative environment
Qualifications & Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of game engines Unreal Engine 5
- Good knowledge of Blueprints, VFX systems, materials/shaders
- Good understanding of UE5 tools suite such as MetaHuman, Quixel, Mixer etc.
- Good knowledge of Asset Importing complexities into UE5
- Good understanding of Nanite, Lumen, Physics-system etc.
- Good understanding of UI Canvas Hierarchy and Anchoring system
- Basic scripting and programming skills
- Can create quick assets in blender, Max, Maya, Photoshop for use in proof of concepts, research, and prototypes ● Decent Character and Object Animation skills
- Optimizing game assets for performance
- Knowledge of game physics, mechanics and game dev specific complexities. A natural understanding of how assets and game code come together
- Familiarity with level design and video game’s in general
- Ability to be directed, managing versions and address feedbacks, following processes and workflows
- Have a general knack for tinkering with tools to come up with clever solutions
- Good to have: Knowledge of Unity 3D from a technical art point of view
- More than 2 years of experience in the AAA game industry
- Shipped at least one title
- Have worked on project from start and taken it to finish line
- Have entered a project midway and taken it to finish line
- Passionate gamer and love games as an art form and a form of entertainment
- Knows the video game and gamer culture
