Job Opening: Technical Artist
Location: Culver City, CA, US

Responsibilities:
- Visualize, develop, and implement interactive VFX features and systems for immersive music experiences across a broad range of interactive platforms and devices.
- Conceptualize and implement features with a focus on immersive, audiovisual reactivity into real-time platforms such as Fortnite and Apple Vision Pro.
- Adopt and implement scalable cost-efficient technical pipelines that prioritize speed to market, while also achieving the highest possibly quality using the most up to date software and tools.
- Create and maintain technical art tools, pipelines, and workflows to optimize efficiency and meet deadlines on very fast paced projects.
- Provide technical art support and optimization for performance and compatibility across multiple platforms.
- Passion for monitoring new tools, technologies and techniques that can be used to create cutting edge experiences.
- Collaborate with creative and design teams to develop visually stunning and interactive features.
- Participate in key partner conversations in regards to roadmap planning and best practices.
- Utilize feedback from playtest and team members to continuously improve. Provide critical feedback to team members. Offer creative solutions to projects.
- Proactively identify design and technical issues and be solutions oriented.
- Familiarity with metahuman framework and performance capture a strong plus.
Qualifications & Skills:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Interactive Media & Games, Animation or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience as a technical artist in real-time software (gaming or visual effects industry).
- Expert level knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 and its key components such as Niagara, Lumen, Sequencer, Metahuman and Blueprints.
- Demonstrated portfolio showing hands-on creation and implementation of VFX systems and features, with a strong desire to use these skills for stunning music experiences.
- Supportive and eagerness to embrace a paradigm of scalable cost-efficient technical pipelines that prioritize speed to market at the highest possible quality bar.
- Familiarity and openness to work with next generation creator tools such as UEFN from Epic Games.
- Demonstrated understanding of real-time rendering, optimization, and lighting techniques.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating and implementing visual effects, custom shaders, and materials.
- Expert knowledge of Maya, 3DSMax, Blender or similar
- Solutions oriented team player who is an eternal optimist and always finds a way.
- Self-starter who is ambitious and passionate about immersive music experiences.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
