Job Opening: Technical Artist
Location: Stockholm, Sweden | Remote
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand the artistic vision and translate it into real-time graphics in Unity using shaders and C#.
- Assist and educate the Art team with technical knowledge to overcome challenges and to optimize their workflow, effectivizing art production.
- Proactively identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
- Develop and optimize shaders for low-end devices.
- Optimise real-time graphics.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with game development
- Understanding of in-engine cameras and rendering, including knowledge of shader passes, render textures and mesh sorting.
- Proficiency in writing scripts for controlling animation of game objects.
- Familiarity with mesh merging and batching techniques to optimise performance.
- Experience with Blender Python scripting for enhancing the art pipeline.
- Art pipeline work, involving anyplace from within 3D software to in-game integration.
- Experience with Renderdoc or similar tools.
- Experience with Unity’s Scriptable Render Pipeline is a big plus.
