Job Opening: Technical Artist
Location: Seattle, Washington State, USA
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Working with customer teams to gather product requirements for 3D technical art and content creation.
- Designing, creating, documenting, and managing assets and end-to-end authoring workflows for real-time 3D graphics projects.
- Importing and managing art assets within a 3D engine.
- Documenting discovered bugs and inefficient workflows for the content creator experience.
- Evangelizing best practices to guide users on how to take full advantage of the 3D engine.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A portfolio that demonstrates technical artist experience in some of the following areas: 3D modeling, rigging, animation, content management, and optimization, or asset setups in a game engine.
- 3+ years of experience in games or real-time 3D applications.
- Experienced user of multiple 3D digital content creation tools such as Maya, 3ds Max, and Substance Tools.
- Experience in content creation pipelines end-to-end.
- Experience collaborating closely with technical teams.
- Experience with tool development in Python and Qt for Python.
- Experience with API development.
- Experience with 3D engines such as Lumberyard, Unity, and Unreal.
- Experience with testing software quality and user experience.
- Experience navigating complex workflows in the cloud-based production pipeline, artist software, version control systems, and 3D engines.
