Job Opening: Technical Animator – Rigger
Location: Lyon, France
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- A good understanding of the constraints coming from the game design, engine, and hardware.
- Define the technical constraints relating to the characters and animated objects.
- Integrate the resources into the engine and ensure compliance with the constraints and performance monitoring.
- Create advanced rigs and skinning for characters, creatures, and props.
- Create and support tools to improve the rigging and animation pipeline, according to the project needs.
- Help artistic teams to resolve technical issues.
- Setup of character ragdolls and cloth physics.
- Collaborate and share knowledge on the latest technological watch with other technical artists in the studio
Qualifications & Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Maya and Python
- Outstanding rigging and deformation skills (body/facial).
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate team spirit, autonomy, and organization.
- Finding a balance between aesthetic, usability, and technical complexity.
- Experience with MotionBuilder is a plus.
