Job Opening: Lead Animator – Cinematics

Responsibilities:
- Works with the Animation Director to maintain consistency of team’s deliverables through regular critiques and ensure timely completion of animation commitments at the desired quality bar.
- Work in close collaboration with the Art Director, technical artists, game designers and programmers to understand the quality objectives, game play intentions and engine capabilities to deliver on AAA quality for your work objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of animators of various levels of experience and talents.
- Constantly evaluate animation workflow and recommend improvements.
- Develop new techniques and processes to solve character animation challenges.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in cinematics and character animation for games.
- An exceptional understanding and demonstrative skills of storytelling and cinematography.
- Ability to breakdown scripts into storyboard/animatics for clarity and direction for the team.
- Exceptional key frame animation skills and a reel that displays world-leading animation quality in character and creature move sets, combat animation, and other related gameplay animation systems.
- Prior experience with hand-keyed animation and motion capture pipelines.
- Ability to work in a range of styles and can maintain the appropriate style over the course of a project.
- Impeccable organization and time-management skills.
- Strong proficiency in Maya.
- A passion for character animation, playing games and film.
