Job Opening: Sr. Production Coordinator
Location: Burnaby, BC, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily production tasks for virtual production departments, overseeing asset tracking, production scheduling, and team communications.
- Track progress, stay current with project workflow standards, and ensure that our system is kept updated with status changes, notes, and critical information.
- Establish processes for communicating targets, assignments, and priorities to the crew, and provide regular updates on project progress, important updates, and risks. Provide accurate reports to Supervisors.
- Organize, attend, and actively participate in project reviews. Take clear and accurate notes for all pertinent meetings and disseminate information to all necessary crew.
- Provide pertinent information to artists, such as task schedules, review notes/feedback, delivery milestones, reference elements, and assets needed for any given task. Monitor artists’ daily progress with regular check-ins, follow-ups, and meetings with leads to ensure the project is on track.
- Evaluate shot inventory, artists’ workloads, and skill sets; making necessary adjustments and assignments to ensure artists hit their targets within their bid days.
- Work with the studio management team, leads, and artists to proactively resolve production challenges. Prioritize and escalate technical support issues as needed.
- Ensure that all deliverables are of the highest quality and meet the expectations of clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with producers, supervisors, and other key stakeholders to develop production strategies and workflows that optimize the production process.
- Identify and mitigate any risks that could impact project delivery and keep the production team updated on the status.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role within VFX, Virtual Production, or Gaming.
- Demonstrated success delivering projects in a facility of multiple, diverse shows.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to establish strong relationships with producers, supervisors, HR, and other departments.
- Demonstrated diplomacy and an ability to effectively collaborate with crew, solve problems and resolve issues.
- Working knowledge of Filemaker and Excel; familiarity with production management software such as Shotgun or JIRA.
