Job Opening: Sr. Animator, Mobile Games
Location: California, USA
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Animate characters, cut scenes, and environment props in support of gameplay.
- Drive efforts to improve animation workflows and optimize asset creation pipelines.
- Integrate animations into the game client using Unity3d, Git, and Perforce.
- Maintain the unique animation style and visual direction of the project.
- Champion Blizzard’s core values, especially “Commit to Quality.”
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of creating animation artwork for film or video games.
- Experience creating animation blend trees and node-based animation editors.
- Understanding of animation principles and how they can be used to enhance gameplay.
- Experience working within a highly collaborative team of passionate developers.
- Positive attitude and an ability to receive and provide objective feedback.
- Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- In-depth understanding of human and creature anatomy and a keen eye towards creatively representing their movements in unique and inspiring ways.
Pluses:
- Foundation in traditional arts including painting, sculpture, figure drawing, and illustration.
- A passion for mobile games, and/or games industry experience.
- iOS and/or Android software development expertise.
- Technical skills such as rigging and/or skinning.
