Responsibilities:
- Designs and implements lighting of characters and environments for assigned shots that meet and enhance the given art direction for production.
- Able to light multiple types of scenes from simple to moderately difficult.
- Compositing experience required. Ensures that assigned shots fit the continuity of the sequence.
- Develops solutions and techniques that meet art/technical direction.
- Has a clear vision of how art/technology should function.
- Accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets.
- Interacts with supervisors/peers to exchange information relevant to the show or sequences.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Knowledge of Katana, Maya, Linux, UNIX, and scripting ability in relevant languages including MEL, Perl, and Python is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Renderman shading, volume rendering, and raytracing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant compositing software including Nuke is preferred.
- Most desired 2-year diploma or 1-year certificate however minimal requirement of 2-3 years of relevant experience may be accepted.
