Responsibilities

  • Deliver stunning, realistic VFX for the FPS genre using proprietary real-time particle systems, within time and budget constraints.
  • Create VFX assets for various stages of game development, from concept to final polish.
  • Represent the VFX team and have a strong voice in meetings, communicating clearly and effectively with other team members across all time zones.
  • Collaborate with other team members and disciplines to create VFX for stunning environments and compelling moments.
  • Assist in the R&D of new pipelines and processes, documenting your findings.
  • Creatively solve technical issues as they arise and address performance issues.
  • Have a high standard of artistic skill in creating texture assets for effects.
  • Have a critical eye and appreciation of cinematography when placing effects.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Highly skilled in all areas of 3D VFX principles and techniques for console hardware (Xbox, PS, PC).
  • Strong overall artistic ability in visual effects.
  • Passionate and egoless attitude that welcomes feedback and criticism, and enjoys working in a collaborative, iterative, and agile
    process
  • Experience with and a good working knowledge of the limitations and expectations of current/next generation hardware.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Maya/Max, Houdini, and Photoshop
  • Experience with other engine toolsets such as Unreal, Unity, and proprietary game engines.
  • Experience collaborating with graphic programmers and mentoring other artists.
  • Strong background in modelling, animation, and/or traditional art.
  • Experience with After Effects, Embergen, Blender, or similar.
  • Experience and comfort with one or more scripting/programming languages.
  • Passion for the Call of Duty franchise.
