Job Opening: CG Intern
Location: Los Angeles, California, US
Type: Intern Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Create scenes and elements as part of a group project highlighting the features of Houdini
- Create example content to highlight the features of Houdini, including annotated sample Houdini scene files that can be distributed to our community of users
- Create short recorded video examples or presentations of your work
- May be asked to occasionally present online or at trade shows for SideFX
- Assist in file clean up to prepare scenes for distribution
- Assist team members with troubleshooting issues pertaining to their scenes or assignments
- Assist in troubleshooting client issues
- Assist in preparing material for client meetings or demos
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
- A portfolio or demo reel demonstrating strong creative and technical skills
- At least 1 year of experience using Houdini through school or on-the-job training.
- A strong understanding of practical lighting
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
- A strong artistic eye with attention to detail
Bonus Skills:
- Group project experience such as a short film
- Python Scripting
- Experience teaching online or in-person
- Comfort recording your own voice for training purposes
