Job Opening: Shader Technical Artist
Location: England, United Kingdom
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the core shader library, ensuring it strikes an effective balance between flexibility, usability and performance
- Provide support where necessary to VFX and lighting with shader authoring and look development exercises
- Proactively identify areas for visual improvement in our shaders and work with artists to ensure effective usage
- Take responsibility for profiling and optimizing our shaders and their usage
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong experience working with shaders (node-based or HLSL)
- Experience creating game art and/or supporting an art team to create realistic content
- Effective collaborator with a growth mindset and desire to help others to do their best work
- Strong verbal and digital communication skills. Comfortable discussing rendering, memory, lighting and other art-related topics
- Critical eye for visual quality
- Art or Programming degree is a bonus
