Job Opening: Shader Technical Artist

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the core shader library, ensuring it strikes an effective balance between flexibility, usability and performance
  • Provide support where necessary to VFX and lighting with shader authoring and look development exercises
  • Proactively identify areas for visual improvement in our shaders and work with artists to ensure effective usage
  • Take responsibility for profiling and optimizing our shaders and their usage

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong experience working with shaders (node-based or HLSL)
  • Experience creating game art and/or supporting an art team to create realistic content
  • Effective collaborator with a growth mindset and desire to help others to do their best work
  • Strong verbal and digital communication skills. Comfortable discussing rendering, memory, lighting and other art-related topics
  • Critical eye for visual quality
  • Art or Programming degree is a bonus
