Job Opening: Senior VFX Groom Artist
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Create realistic and visually stunning fur, hair, and feather grooming for digital characters and creatures, ensuring they seamlessly integrate with the project’s visual style and requirements.
- Work closely with the modeling, rigging, and animation teams to ensure groomed assets meet technical and artistic specifications, including articulation and movement.
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors and leads to incorporate feedback and revisions into grooming work.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience as a Groom Artist in the VFX or animation industry.
- Proficiency in grooming Houdini hair, fur, and feathers.
- Experience with grooming a variety of realistic digidoubles, characters, creatures, and assets
- Familiarity with VFX pipelines and software such as Maya, ZBrush, and Photoshop.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of vellum and CFX experience is a bonus.
- Strong artistic and technical skills
