Job Opening: Senior Roto/Prep Artist
Location: London, Greater London
Type: Fixed Term
Responsibilities:
- The creation of accurate roto
- Cleanup tasks, including but not limited to, rig removal, marker removal, cleaning green or blue screens, artifacts removal, beauty work/cosmetic fixes
- Complete complex cleanup tasks in Nuke
- Complete basic compositing tasks in Nuke
- Communicating with peers and other departments to ensure efficient delivery of your task
- The ability to “Quality Check” yours and others work
- Composites finaling ( with paint )
Qualifications & Skills:
- Punctuality
- Knowledge of Nuke essential
- Knowledge of Silhouette preferred
- Passionate with a “can do” attitude
- A solid and confident understanding of Paint and Roto techniques
- The ability to work fast and accurately
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work well alongside other Rotoscopy/Prep artists and departments
- Min 2 years Previous film industry experience, due to the complexity of the work (preferred)
- Being efficient at “frame by frame” painting in Silhouette is an advantage
- The ability to use Silhouette for rotoscoping as required is preferred
- An understanding of Compositing: keying, CG, cameras, using geometry, creating cameras, depth-maps, vectors, grading
- The ability to bid ( time ) your own shots
- An understanding of the VFX pipeline
- An ability to voice and predict issues that may occur
- The ability to complete Junior composting tasks
