Job Opening: Senior/Principal Gameplay Animator

Location: Europe

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Creating 3D animations for humans, animals, monsters, and props.
  • Delivering high-quality hand-keyed and mocap-derived animations.
  • Communicating with the Gameplay Animation Lead to ensure a consistent style.
  • Working closely with programmers and designers to create gameplay mechanics.
  • Collaborating with production to ensure a high-quality project that meets our deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least 5 years of documented experience as a gameplay animator.
  • Very good knowledge of any 3D package (Maya preferably).
  • Skill in animating the human figure to create realistic animations.
  • Experience working with motion capture data.
  • Good communication skills and experience collaborating closely with designers and programmers.
  • Good understanding of keyframe animation principles and the ability to apply this knowledge to animation creation.
  • Good understanding of game design principles and how to create animations that support the gameplay.
  • Comfortable working in a game engine editor (Unreal Engine knowledge is a plus).
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Good knowledge of MotionBuilder.
  • Experience in animating realistic creatures.
  • Experience working on a third-person-perspective action game.
