Job Opening: Senior Level Designer
Location: Remote
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team leadership and an agile, cross-functional team to author unique and challenging levels that deliver on the game’s creative vision.
- Own the creation of levels from the initial concept all the way to market.
- Work with artists and animators to ensure levels look great, run fast, and delight players.
- Maintain documentation and share knowledge with the entire team.
- Exemplify level design practices for the team and mentor junior designers to help them level up.
- Actively participate on the team by accepting and offering constructive feedback on the game as a whole.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Please submit a portfolio link that showcases your level design experience!
- Demonstrable experience as a level designer on at least one shipped AAA game or meaningful contributions on multiple 1st or 3rd person shooter/adventure titles.
- Strong level design skills with the ability to make worlds come alive with compelling gameplay spaces that emotionally engage players.
- Hands-on experience creating levels in-engine on complete production cycles from concept to ship (preferably using Unreal/Blueprints).
- Experience working alongside artists and integrating art throughout the design process. (experience with 3D art tools is a plus)
- Experience gathering and responding to playtest feedback.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey designs clearly.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to deliver high-quality designs on time.
- Experience mentoring other game designers.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
