Job Opening: Senior Environment Artist
Location: United States/ Remote
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Take complete ownership of building polished in-game environments using a mixture of photogrammetry and hand crafted assets.
- Work directly with Design team members to ensure environments meet artistic and gameplay needs.
- Build out modular, on grid, kits for architecture and structural pieces
- Sculpt out organic assets to be used directly in game with Nanite
- Provide mentorship to other members of the team but documenting pipelines and processes as well as showcasing demo of new techniques.
- Work directly with Tech Art team members to develop new tools and processes that will improve efficiency in our pipelines.
- Focused on how to balance performance needs with those of the visuals
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least one shipped title as a Senior Environment Artist
- Strong knowledge of 3D modeling software such as Maya, Blender or 3Ds Max
- Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine’s core features and tools
- Excellent eye for environmental artistic composition
- Ability to translate ideas found in concept art to a wide range of different environments
- Strong understanding of a On Grid workflow for architectural and structural assets
- Ability to sculpt assets using Zbrush with a high level of detail
- Strong communication skills
Bonus:
- Experience creating or modifying textures and materials
- Experience with creating assets for a Unreal 5 Nanite Pipeline
- Experience work with and creating foliage using SpeedTree
- Experience working with lighting
