Job Opening: Senior Character Rigger
Location: Bellevue, Washington
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Rig and weight characters, creatures, and props while working closely with Character Artists, Animators and Designers.
- Create rigging pipelines and inform tooling.
- Integrate a character and set up physics.
- Optimization passes to make our character rigs more performant – either in engine or using a 3rd party tools.
- Provide technical support for rigs in both Maya and Unreal Engine.
- Work directly in engine to set up and maintain character assets.
- Test functionality and bug fixing to ensure work is game-ready and high-quality.
- Provide feedback on workflow and tools for the team at large.
- Participate in our team-wide playtests and give feedback on the experience
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Technical Animator creating rigs.
- Expert knowledge of Maya and proficiency in scripting (Python/Mel/MAX Script).
- Experience developing character rigs on at least 1 shipped game.
Bonus Points:
- Experience shipping with Unreal Engine.
- Technical Skills: Scripting.
- Experience in runtime animation tools such as physics and simulations.
