Job Opening: Senior Art Tools Engineer

Location: Fully Remote, UK

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the art department and tech art/animation teams to unlock their potential by building art and animation tools and improving workflows.
  • Design, develop, and support tools & features in Maya, 3DSMax, and Houdini by writing high quality and stable code.
  • Proactively identify and solve workflow bottlenecks and deficiencies to improve the quality of life for the development team and ultimately increase the speed of development.
  • Act as a resource to help and solve problems with the tech art and tech animation teams.
  • Communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with other members of the engineering team using Slack, code reviews, design reviews, bugs, and video calls

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience on multi-discipline teams
  • 3+ years of professional experience in developing tools in Maya
  • 3+ years experience using Python
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of art and animation pipelines
  • Comfortable architecting systems and tools to fill development needs
  • Advocate for building strong workflows based on peer feedback.
  • Experience with Houdini API, and 3DSMax API.
  • Experience shipping a AAA game title.
