Job Opening: Senior Animator
Location: Remote

Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Animation Supervisor to ensure the team are producing high quality animation which creates compelling, story-driven and action-packed moments that fit within the style and pacing of the film
- Working closely with the Rigging and Pipeline departments providing suggestions and feedback to improve character setup, visual quality, rigs and tool functionality
- Animating both primary and secondary characters and elements
- Analyze, troubleshoot and solve animation related technical challenges.
- Experience working with and editing mocap data
- Mentoring and training of more junior artists
- Strong Knowledge of software Maya
- Basic Rigging Skills
- Working efficiently as part of a team, or independently, to complete assigned shots
- Continuing to become familiar with new tools, software, data and other related technology
- You will assist VFX Supervisors and producers during the quoting process by accurately advising on time, talent and technology required to achieve the work.
- You will offer advice and knowledge to tech-bunker on pipeline and workflow improvements and software developments in order to continually improve Outpost’s CG abilities.
- Maintain and develop skills to keep up with developments in software and processes.
- Understand and follow OutpostVFX’s pipeline procedures and conform to and uphold the Outpost workflow pertaining to all aspects of 3D
- Mentor teams of 3D artists to deliver project briefs to specific schedules agreed with the Producer and inform them if the schedule is unachievable as early as possible in the process in order to allow production to provide sufficient support.
- Assist Head of Production in performance reviews of artists within your teams.
- Be present and vocal in all relevant dailies sessions, setting an example of the Outpost culture in terms of professionalism and quality/creative reviews.

- Delivering 3D work which exceeds the expectations of the VFX supervisor in both quality and creativity.
- Timely delivery of all work to producer’s schedule.
- Take an active role during artist reviews, providing constructive feedback on performances and weaknesses.
- Quoting accuracy, days bid against days taken.
- Prompt timekeeping and adherence of the working hours assigned to you.
- Set an example to new joiners through a positive attitude and behaviour within the team.
- Demonstration of skills improvement across software and processes.
- Cross site/Client relationship development.
- You should enjoy your work and the challenges it holds for you!
- You will be seen as helpful and cooperative associate by your peers and superiors across both 2D and 3D and Management departments.
