Job Opening: VFX Artist (Mid – Senior)
Location: Remote (Europe)
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement high-quality AAA VFX to support gameplay and art direction.
- Create and optimize VFX to run within performance limitations.
- Collaborate closely with art, animation, design, and programming teams to anticipate and overcome challenges, meeting visual requirements and constraints.
- Translate references, concept art, game design briefs, and verbal directions into prototypes and implement real-time VFX in-game.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Mid to senior-level professional VFX experience in the game industry.
- A strong reel/portfolio showcasing executed real-time FX work.
- At least one shipped title within the game industry.
- A critical eye for timing, animation, and motion of real-world objects and visual FX.
- Ability to create all art needed for the FX from prototype to final FX.
- Desire and knowledge to push our effects, editing tools, and pipeline further.
- Well-versed in Unreal Engine 5 VFX.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Niagara.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Houdini.
- Experience with scripting in Blueprint, Python, etc.
- Experience with Cascade.
- Skills in secondary areas such as modelling, skinning, animation, or lighting.
- Experience working across multiple platforms and understanding memory limitations.
- Experience with real-time networked multiplayer games.
- A passion for MOBAs.
