Job Opening: FX Supervisor
Location: Remote
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Lead the creative and technical direction of FX across the show.
- Supervise and mentor artists working on stylised FX (Houdini-based).
- Define workflows and guide high-quality FX production.
- Review, give feedback, and ensure consistency with the show’s artistic vision.
- Work closely with other department leads (Lighting, Animation, Compositing).
- Act as the go-to contact for production coordination, scheduling, and asset planning.
Help develop and test tools/pipelines when needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong portfolio of FX supervision on animated or stylised projects.
- Expert in Houdini; good knowledge of Unreal Engine, Maya, and Nuke.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of FX artists.
- Solid understanding of FX workflows for stylised content.
- Great communication, feedback, and planning skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken & written).
- Freelancers must be registered and invoice-compliant under Hungarian law.
- Must be based in Hungary or within ±2 hours of CET.
- Experience working on episodic or streaming content.
- Technical pipeline knowledge and tool dev experience.
- Strong artistic eye and timing sense in stylised simulations.
