Job Opening: Environment Artist
Location: Remote
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Creative Director and a team of artists to achieve the vision for the game.
- Create content in the form of 3D modeling, UV layout, Texture creation, Material setup.
- Take design blockouts to finished art in the form of world building and set dressing to create visually pleasing environments.
- Collaborate with a cross-discipline team of 3D artists, UI artists, animators, and others to oversee the visual aspects of the game.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Expertise in the latest software and techniques for creating AAA content for games.
- The ability to maintain artistic direction and vision through all phases of the game development cycle.
- A strong eye for composition and visual storytelling through the use of set dressing.
- A passion for high quality AAA assets which enhance the gameplay goals of the game.
- Flexibility to pivot when necessary to address a variety of moderately complex artistic efforts.
- Deep understanding of Unreal Engine and the new enhancements of UE5, as well as how to leverage them to their full potential.
- Experience in working within a game development environment with other artists with a desire to reinforce artistic goals and efforts.
- The ability to own a specific sub discipline of Environment Art. (Hard surface modeling, Surfacing and Materials, Procedural Workflows, Outsource Integration)
